The short version of a long story:
My publisher is not going to publish my book – so here it is for you to download.
The slightly longer version of the long story:
1. My publisher sold to another publisher in 2022.
2. The new publisher told me after 6 months of waiting that they were not going to publish my book.
3. After checking my contract I realised that they were legally allowed to this – ethics, it seems, wasn’t their priority.
4. I spent most of 2023 trying to get a different publisher. This didn’t work.
5. After having numerous rejections, I decided that the most important thing for me was to get the ideas out (without a publisher and without having the rigmarole of self-publishing).
6. So, after starting the writing in 2016 and getting it professionally edited and designed (courtesy of my original publisher), in 2024 I am making it available as a PDF, here on my website. It is completely finished, indexed, designed and edited.
7. Sharing the ideas is more important to me than the whims of any publisher or any revenue that I might have received for over 8 years of work.
